Training for community settings

Our training for those who work or volunteer in community settings is designed for anyone working with those who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss, whether at the time of loss or in the weeks, months and years that follow.

 

Training is available as a full-day workshop, a half-day workshop or as a live 2-hour webinar. Training is tailored to suit the needs of your organisation and can be delivered at a venue of your choice or online.

The training outlines below are designed as a suggestion of the programmes we can deliver. However, every organisation and every team is different so if you’d like us to design something that meets your requirements we are very happy to collaborate with you.

As a charity we charge training fees to cover our costs, however, enabling high-quality care is our aim so if
budget is an issue for you please let us know.

Services in the community

Councils, Mortuaries, Coroners and Registrars

An opportunity for teams to work together in increasing confidence in communicating with compassion, face to face, via phone and email, whilst fulfilling your roles and processes. Develop a greater understanding of the parent experience and explore your own wellbeing.

Schools and nurseries

Work as a team to further your knowledge of the loss of a baby impacts on children of different ages, and how to support children and their families. Discover how culture, community and identity influence experience and increase confidence in saying the right words.

Health Visitors

Learn how to provide high quality bereavement care for families experiencing pregnancy loss or baby death. Discover resources and techniques for effective communication and empathetic support.

Early Pregnancy workshop

Address the specific challenges of providing high quality support for those experiencing miscarriage, molar pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy. Learn tailored communication strategies and care approaches to safely support expectant parents.
